Your safari begins with a morning pickup from Nairobi by your professional guide/driver. Journey south through the scenic Athi Plains and into Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. After check-in and a short rest, head out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its free-ranging elephants, large herds, and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro—the tallest mountain in Africa. You may also encounter cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, and an array of birdlife.

Today is devoted to exploring the wonders of Amboseli. Begin with an early morning game drive when the animals are most active and the mountain is often visible. After breakfast, relax at the lodge or enjoy the scenery from the pool. An afternoon game drive provides another opportunity to spot lions, hyenas, wildebeests, and possibly elusive leopards. Optional: visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about their rich culture and traditional lifestyle.

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, located in the Great Rift Valley. The drive takes you through varied landscapes, arriving by midday for lunch at your lodge by the lake. In the afternoon, take a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha (optional), where you’ll see hippos, waterbucks, and abundant bird species including African fish eagles and herons. You may also explore optional Crescent Island on foot—one of the few places in Kenya where you can walk among wild animals safely.

After breakfast, depart for the short drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a UNESCO-listed site known for its conservation efforts, particularly for rhinos and Rothschild’s giraffes. Check into your lodge and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, set out for a game drive across the park’s acacia woodlands and lake shores, where you’ll spot white and black rhinos, zebras, lions, leopards, waterbucks, and bird species such as pelicans, cormorants, and sometimes flamingos.

The Mara teems with wildlife year-round and offers excellent chances to see lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, and more. Sunset on the plains is an unforgettable sight.

Begin the drive back to Nairobi with a packed lunch or stop en route for a hot meal.
