Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional guide-driver. After completing immigration and customs procedures, you will be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, a vibrant city often referred to as the safari capital of Tanzania. Along the drive, you may catch glimpses of Mount Meru and the local Tanzanian landscape. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will check in and have time to relax after your long journey. Settle into the tranquil environment of your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Overnight at the lodge on a bed and breakfast basis, preparing for the adventures ahead.
After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will depart Arusha with a packed lunch and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive will take you through picturesque landscapes dotted with Maasai villages and open savannahs. Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater, you will descend about 610 meters into the crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Inside the crater, you will enjoy an extensive game drive across its diverse habitats grasslands, swamps, forests, and lakes home to a dense population of wildlife. After exploring the crater floor and enjoying your lunch in a scenic picnic spot, you will ascend back up to the crater rim and proceed to your lodge. Here, you will check in, freshen up, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay amid the breathtaking views of the highlands.
After breakfast and check-out, your journey continues westwards towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. The drive itself is an experience, as you pass through the rich landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands, the plains of Olduvai Gorge (famous for early human discoveries), and into the seemingly endless savannah of the Serengeti. You may spot wildlife even before reaching the park’s official entrance. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a leisurely afternoon game drive through the Central Serengeti, an area renowned for its year-round concentration of wildlife. This region offers excellent chances to see predators like lions and cheetahs in action.
After an exciting day, you will proceed to your lodge or tented camp for check-in, relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will set out with a packed lunch for a full day of exploration in the Serengeti. The day is devoted to tracking wildlife across different parts of the park, depending on the seasonal movements and wildlife activity. Your guide will help you search for the “Big Five”—lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo as well as countless other species such as giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the awe-inspiring Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras move across the Serengeti ecosystem in search of greener pastures. You will enjoy your packed lunch at a designated picnic area surrounded by nature, and then continue with the afternoon game drives.
After an exhilarating day in the wild, you will return to your lodge or camp for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay.
After a final breakfast in the Serengeti, you will check out of your lodge or camp and drive to the Seronera Airstrip. Here, you will board a scheduled mid-morning light aircraft flight to Arusha, providing stunning aerial views of the Serengeti plains and surrounding landscapes. Upon landing at Arusha Airport, you will be met and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward international departure. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to relax in Arusha or enjoy a final meal. This marks the end of your incredible Tanzanian safari experience, with memories that will last a lifetime.
